BRAIN DRAIN?
You often hear about a “brain drain” on Wrexham where our talented youngsters finish education then leave the area to the bright lights of London or Manchester to find work, depriving us of our most talented entrepreneurs and employees. I have no doubt that many youngsters do move away either not coming back from University or moving in search of the right employment / opportunity for themselves.
However, I recently interviewed Five candidates for our new Apprentice Accountant role and while I was only able to offer a job to one of them I was genuinely massively impressed with all five. From the standard of the CV’s and covering notes to the clear research and preparation that had gone in pre interview to the professional attitude shown throughout.
I was left heartened at some of the talent we have looking to work in the town which can only be great for our future prosperity.
