Business Lessons from The Wrexham Business Spotlight: Momentum, Gavin Belton Rose

On the latest episode of the Wrexham Business Spotlight I sat down with Sales and Marketing expert and published author Gavin Belton-Rose from Momentum.  We followed his journey through sales In the pub trade, the car trade, estate agency to today where he runs his own Sales and marketing agency.

Momentum: Why Sales and Marketing Must Work Together

One of Gavin’s strongest messages was the need for businesses to stop treating sales and marketing as separate entities.

Too often, he says, companies fall into the trap of running disjointed campaigns, misaligned messaging, or scattergun marketing efforts that fail to reach the right audience. His philosophy is simple:  “People buy from People” which means the human element; relationships, trust, storytelling must connect every part of the sales and marketing journey.

Networking: The Return of Offline Engagement

Post-COVID, many businesses leaned heavily into digital outreach. But Gavin stresses that offline networking has made a comeback, and it’s more powerful than ever.

From local events to community involvement, showing up in person still builds relationships in a way no algorithm can replicate.  As he puts it: “Business isn’t going to come to you. You have to be seen, heard and engaged

The Glue: Gavin’s New Book on Sales & Marketing Synergy

Gavin’s recently published book, The Glue, reinforces everything he stands for:
the integration of sales, marketing, and the human stories that bind them.  It is written for business owners, marketers, and sales teams who want to move beyond checklist tactics and build a strategy that actually works.
